Where to Find Ease and Security

Dear Godscribe:

I am praying and each morning waking from nightmares, having to work with my mind to shift to “light and possibilities.”

What will it take for me not just to feel self-love because I’ve just realized that I’ve never felt safe?

I have repeated a pattern of illness, and 3 times living in mold environment, putting me in financial distress and risk of homelessness. I always “land”, but so stressful… right until the 11th hour not knowing how I will survive. I am there yet again.

I would love to change this. How do I find some ease in these last years of my life so I may be of greater benefit in this world?

Dear Uneasy,

You’re looking for ease and security.

Who isn’t?

The difference between you and someone who isn’t suffering, however, is faith.

Some people – the ones with jobs that feel a sense of ease – are always wishing for time to pursue their interests.

Successful entrepreneurs are good at keeping themselves on the edge, but they know at any moment they may have to liquidate their assets to cover their debts.

You, however, have to be more interested in the skills you have that others need.

And if it comes to a time you need to use those skills for a job, you need to be okay with that and actually start looking for a way to supplement your income with a steady job.

To be in a time when the economy is hopping and not taking advantage, by reaping a harvest, is to just be stuck in your problems and blind to the solutions.

Survival does not require you to give up what you love to do.

It requires you to do what you must in order to do what you love.

Your soul’s purpose does not take precedence over survival.

Survival of the body is the primary need for the soul to hold itself in form.

Work a job that allows you to serve someone else, instead of being consumed by your own needs.

This is the single most worthy way for things to turn around for anyone entrenched in their fears of survival.

Go be useful. Go be a blessing to someone in more need than you.

Ease does not come for anyone unless their mind is preoccupied with something pleasant.
