Do not empathize with the world, elevate it.
DEAR GODSCRIBE:
How can I purify my heart of the pain I feel from what I see around me?
Signed, “Joe”
DEAR JOE:
Empathy, (feeling what others feel), is to be reserved for understanding a condition, in a relationship. It is not good for the soul, to see a world through the eyes of its own pain. Do not empathize with the world, elevate it. Uplifting your thoughts can improve the mood of others, also.
Smile and wave at people, look into their eyes as if they are an old friend. Look for God in them, wave at God in them. If they know God, they will recognize God in you waving at them, and they wave back. If they don’t, you have at least left the impression of joy and kindness on their soul.
You cannot save the world by being in pain.
You must save your soul from that experience, so that joy comes through you, to others.
Pray this softly within, when you see pain, “God, thank you that I have a bed and a pillow, a roof overhead, and food on my table. Please use my gifts and talents, arms and legs, hands and feet, so that I may bring your service into a world that needs us both. Amen.”
“Ask the Godscribe” is a new addition to the Wisenheimer Letters. The questions are from you and the answers are from God. I hope that Source’s answers will be so brilliant, we’ll get a syndicated column so as to help people around the world with questions we all have about life, love, and the ways of being.
